Candles are quite underrated when it comes to home décor. There is so many candles can do! They are a source of light when the power goes out. They also give off a fantastic fragrance if you light up the amazing scented candles. Candles are also very helpful when you want to create a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. No matter how you decide to use them, the candles always create a warm and inviting environment.
1. For the Kitchen
Kitchens often require candles because of the strong smells! Especially if you are cooking some Indian or spicy Mexican food. You have a couple of options to decorate your kitchen with candles. You can keep small teacup candles all over your kitchen counter and light them up while you’re cooking and let them burn even after you’re done. You can also put wax melt burner, scented candles as they last longer. Another thing that you can do is have beautiful candle stands that you can keep on your countertop. If you have a breakfast table in your kitchen, you can decorate the table with a beautiful candle collection as a centrepiece or even put candle stands on the corners of the table. You can also light the candles after you are done cooking to reduce the cooking smells.
2. In the Bathroom
Keeping candles in the bathroom is not common, but it looks exquisite! You can put a candle on the bathroom fixtures and racks and give your bathroom an aesthetic look just like some luxury spa. You can also put clusters of small candles in the corner of the bathroom. To have a more aesthetic feel, you can even put a burning, scented candle or wax melts burner near your bathtub while you take a bath after a long tiring day. You can also put scented candles in the powder rooms of your house. If you have a personal spa at home, then placing teacup candles while you enjoy the spa can be a great idea too! If you have ample space by your mirror, then you can put small, elegant candle holders with colourful candles to match the hues of the bathroom.
3. In the Bedroom
Candles can be used to set the mood in the bedroom. If you are planning for a romantic night in, you can always light a few candles to make the room romantic and comfortable. You can light them on the side tables, the window sill, or even on the shelf to have a warm, nightly glow. Candles are also helpful in reducing stress and anxiety. If you are stressed, you can light lavender or a peppermint-scented candle in your room, and it will help you ease your mind and help you reduce stress and anxiety. Candles also help in reducing headaches and stuffy noses so all you need to do is, just light a few candles and rest in your bedroom while you’re suffering from flu or a severe headache.
4. In the Living Room
Candles provide warmth and comfort to the atmosphere, which makes them perfect for family gatherings and a get-together with friends. You can place candles on the coffee table, on the shelf, or even you can have a candlelit fireplace!
5. On the Entrance
The entrance or the foyer of your house is the place that gives the first impression of your home and as you all know that the first impression is the last impression. If you put candles on the entrance of the house, it will look not just elegant but will also make your space look warmer and inviting. You can put a fancy candle stand, or even assorted candles of different colours and make a beautiful arrangement. You can also make some candle crafts to make the place look more and more artistic!
